My passion has always been the great outdoors.  I love being outside and working outside which is probably why I got into the construction industry in the first place.  But during conventional building the waste material is absolutely unbelievable.  You could build a house from the scraps of three houses.  So I searched out ways to minimize waste on the job site.  This lead to learning new techniques and ways of doing things.  In my search for less waste I discovered a whole new approach to building.  It was a change in my mindset.  I wasn't just building a house or remodeling a kitchen, I was building with the whole house in mind.  Realizing how everything in the house works together just like it does in nature changes how you think about things.  Now making sure the whole house works as one system is how I manage to minimize waste.  If you put your air conditioner and duct work in a hot, moist attic you are weakening the effectiveness of the AC which means you need to use more insulation.  If you orient your house with the bulk of your windows facing south and have a generous roof overhang, the whole house will benefit from the sun's natural warmth in the winter which means you can have a smaller AC system.  Everything is linked together.   Most buildings get built one "stage" at a time by separate companies with no regard to the house as a system.  If your house is existing, we can optimize it to work as best as it can.  Every house is as different as our fingerprints and each one needs to be viewed that way.   There is no "one-size-fits-all" way to make your house run at its peak ability.  You need someone who understands how a house works and who has a passion for helping others help themselves......that's where we can help.
